Having suffered from hyperhidrosis all my life (I’m 60) - I have finally found the solution. Dr. Lauren Uppal can treat both hands and feet with Botox using a block. It’s an uncomfortable treatment but not unbearable and the quality of life I get for approx 6 months is absolutely fantastic. I would not hesitate in recommending Lauren - she’s been a game changer for me!

 

Lauren Is solicitous, amiable and focused. She always explains the issues and treatments carefully and clearly. She has significantly improved one trigger finger with surgery. Two other trigger fingers have been treated with steroid injections and are currently moving freely and fairly painlessly.

Ms Uppal was incredibly professional and kind. She immediately made me feel less stressed and comfortable and was quick, and efficient during the procedure which left a minor scar that has now almost disappeared. She also checked in with me to see how my recovery was going which is something that I have never experienced before so was very pleasantly surprised by that. I would more than recommend her to anyone requiring plastic surgery and afraid of scaring and pain.

 

I was recently on holidays in London, where I had a fall resulting in an 8 cm laceration on my scalp and forehead which required stitching by a plastic surgeon. I found Lauren to be professional, extremely competent and very kind. She stitched my wound beautifully, provided professional advice about possible side effects of the injury and provided me with her contact details in case I had any questions or concerns at all. I did have a query and she answered my email promptly. She provided the paperwork for my insurance company quickly and followed up to check on me and advise next steps as the wound healed. The wound is healing nicely. What I appreciated most about the experience (apart from the beautiful stitching done on my head) was the followup and care shown to me over and above what I would have expected. I can't thank Lauren enough for making what was a fairly traumatic start to my holiday a better experience.

 

Please convey my thanks to the hand team who were exceptional when I tore my tendon in my wrist last week. Everyone I came into contact with from the first person in Urgent Care, to Miss Uppal whom I saw the following day, was utterly professional, empathetic and caring. For a hospital at the front line to provide such a level of care for a relatively minor injury is utterly fabulous. Thank you.

I would like to feedback on the excellent care I received recently. I attended with a deep laceration to my hand. The triage staff were great and took me straight through to dress the wound, gave me prompt analgesia and arranged an xray.

Miss Uppal herself was wonderful. Taking the time to review me and explain the procedure, prognosis, aftercare and answer all my questions. When I was taken through to theatre, the arm block was painless, quick and everyone helped me feel relaxed throughout the whole procedure. Thank you!
